BG Quander ’95 Named New Commandant of Cadets
The Chief of Staff of the Army announced that Brigadier General Mark C. Quander ’95 will be the next Commandant of Cadets at the U.S. Military Academy. General Quander is an Engineer officer who has been a leader at the strategic and tactical levels. He has three combat deployments that include Operation Enduring Freedom in 2002 and 2011; Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2007; and an earthquake humanitarian aid mission to Haiti as a part of Operation Unified Response in 2010.

He is currently serving as the Commandant of the U.S. Army Engineer School at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and will replace Brigadier General Curtis A. Buzzard later this year.
